Job summary

Quarteom is seeking a Data Governance Specialist Junior to define the data governance strategy and lead a high‑performing team of data experts. You will partner with senior leadership to maximize the value of core data assets across the organization.

You will drive enterprise data standards, policies, modeling, and regulatory compliance while acting as the escalation point for data protection and quality issues. A Master’s in a quantitative field is required, with PhD being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, mathematics or engineering).
• PhD is an advantage. Other backgrounds with analytics knowledge acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the stream's vision, strategy and KPIs.
• Lead and mentor a team of data governance specialists and quality analysts.
• Partner with CoE leadership and senior management on governance initiatives.
• Roll out enterprise frameworks for data standards, policies, modeling and compliance.
• Escalate data protection, compliance, integrity and quality issues.
• Engage executives to improve data accuracy, trust, and business value.

We are looking for a visionary Data Governance Specialist Junior to drive our data management strategy and lead a high-performing team of data experts. In this key role, you will define the stream’s roadmap, oversee enterprise-wide data governance and regulatory initiatives, and partner with senior leadership to maximize the quality, integrity, and strategic value of our core data assets.

Tasks

• Define and execute the overarching vision, strategic direction, and key performance objectives for their designated stream.
• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of data governance specialists and quality analysts to deliver on stream goals.
• Partner with CoE leadership and senior management to steer company-wide data quality, governance, and regulatory initiatives.
• Roll out and champion enterprise frameworks covering data standards, policies, modeling, and regulatory compliance across business lines and tribes.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical issues surrounding data protection, compliance, integrity, and quality.
• Engage closely with executive stakeholders across business units to elevate the accuracy, trustworthiness, and business value of core data assets.

Profile

• You have at least a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics or engineering (a PhD is considered an advantage).
• Candidates with other academic backgrounds with substantial knowledge of analytics are also encouraged to apply.
