Job summary

BIG WATER CONSULTING (BWC) is recruiting a Data Governance Expert for its Brussels projects. The role is a full-time permanent contract in Brussels with a hybrid work model (50% onsite, 50% teleworking in Belgium).

The position requires a master’s in a quantitative field, 2+ years of data governance experience, and fluency in English plus French or Dutch. You will lead a team of data governance and data quality professionals, work with CoE and senior management, and drive enterprise data policy,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics or engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in data governance or data quality.
• Experience leading a team of data governance experts and/or data quality analysts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data governance experts and/or data quality analysts to achieve stream objectives.
• Collaborate with CoE managers and Senior Management on enterprise data governance, quality and regulatory activities.
• Establish and enforce enterprise data governance, quality, modeling and regulation frameworks across data, business and tribe levels.
• Serve as escalation point for governance, quality, integrity, protection and data compliance issues.
• Work with business and functional leadership to improve quality and value of core data assets.

Job description

BWC is looking for a Data Governance Expert for its clients in Brussels, Belgium. It's a full-time permanent contract with BWC. Freelance can also apply.

Job Type: Hybrid 50% Onsite + 50% Teleworking in Belgium.

• Language: Fluent in English and at least one of the language French or Dutch.
• Education: You have at least a master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics or engineering
• Candidates with other academic backgrounds with substantial knowledge of analytics are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience.
• Lead a team of data governance experts and/or data quality analysts to achieve his/her stream objectives.
• Manage together with the other CoE managers and Senior Management, all organization wide data governance, quality and regulations activities.
• Establish and ensure adherence to the enterprise data governance, quality, modeling and regulation frameworks for data policies, standards and practices, both at the data, business and tribe level, to achieve the required level of data quality integrity, protection and compliance with the regulation.
• Serve as a point of escalation for governance, quality, integrity, protection and data compliance issues.
• Work closely with Business and Functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assets.
• Business experience in GDPR.
