Job summary

BDO Belgium is seeking a Data Governance Senior Consultant to lead and deliver governance frameworks, operating models and data stewardship initiatives across clients. You will collaborate with stakeholders, design pragmatic policies and drive adoption of mature data governance practices in complex environments.

You bring 5+ years in data governance or data management, a Master’s degree in a related field, and fluent French or Dutch with strong English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management or related field.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data, Engineering, Business Economics or related field.
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with very good English.
• Solid experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks and operating models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand data landscape and governance maturity.
• Design governance frameworks, policies, standards, roles and operating models.
• Establish data ownership, stewardship structures and governance councils.
• Improve data quality, metadata, lineage and master data management.
• Coach and train stakeholders to ensure adoption and value of governance frameworks.
