Job summary

Keystone Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer on a consultancy mission at a client site in Belgium. The Boeteplatform project coordinates organizational and digital processes within the Justice system to improve financial penalties execution and reduce admin workload.

You will translate requirements into data flows, develop ETL/ELT processes, implement CI/CD, ensure data quality, and contribute to governance and BI publications using tools like SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, or Superset.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in ICT or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or BI, with a minimum of 2 years in a development team working with CI/CD.
• Proven experience in translating business and quality requirements into data requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Expert-level SQL skills and experience with data modeling (Kimball and/or Data Vault).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, and/or Apache Superset.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, able to clarify vague questions and switch between technical and non-technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Translating standards, guidelines, and business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for data flows and reporting.
• Collaborating with the Product Owner and functional analysts to gather information needs and develop user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Defining data definitions and KPIs to ensure consistency across the board.
• Ensuring data quality throughout the entire chain, from source to report, making sure data is reliable, verifiable, and reproducible.
• Implementing and managing CI/CD for data pipelines, data models, and reports.
• Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes and ensuring a reliable publication layer for BI tools.
• Contributing to data governance and compliance with internal control and audit expectations.
