Job summary

element61 in Belgium is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data Platform & Data Engineering Team. You will build data platforms for clients, collaborating with peers and senior colleagues to deliver robust analytics solutions.

You will work hands-on on ETL pipelines, SQL, Python and PySpark, using Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, and explore AI enhancements. Fluency in English and Dutch or French is valued; strong curiosity and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a data engineer or in BI with ETL you designed and maintained.
• Strong data modeling and coding skills: SQL, Python, PySpark.
• Experience with Microsoft stack and cloud, preferably Azure; Databricks or Fabric is a plus.
• Certifications are a plus, or you are open to obtaining them.
• Team player who communicates clearly and collaborates with customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain ETL pipelines on Databricks or Fabric.
• Write and optimize SQL queries.
• Collaborate with customers to translate aims into deliverables.
• Apply AI in engineering work and explore Databricks Genie and Fabric Data Agents.
