Job summary

delaware BeLux is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead end-to-end data platform initiatives in Antwerp. You will translate business needs into robust data solutions and guide customers and junior teammates, shaping data architectures and pipelines.

You will work with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python and PySpark, applying Kimball models and CI/CD practices. Expect collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a client-centric environment that values data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience in a production setting.
• Hands-on with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python and PySpark.
• Familiar with Kimball dimensional modelling and CI/CD practices.
• Comfortable using AI tools in daily work and able to critically validate outputs.
• Versatile with a strong interest in the business context behind data.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into solid, working data solutions and stay close to the reasons behind decisions.
• Build and implement end-to-end data platforms from data collection to consumption.
• Leverage AI-assisted delivery to speed up work while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Coach customers and junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and guiding use of data tools and platforms.
