Job summary

Jones Engineering is seeking a Commercial Manager with a mechanical background to join our delivery teams for a major Data Centre project in Belgium. This role offers an opportunity to shape commercial strategy and drive value on a high-profile program.

You will lead procurement, subcontractor management, and cost forecasting, ensuring contract compliance and risk control. A minimum 8 years post-qualification experience and strong IT and communication skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Relevant third level qualification in Quantity Surveying/ Construction Economics.
• Minimum 8+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in an electrical role is required.
• Strong IT, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contract compliance and monitor obligations for the construction team.
• Identify and report potential commercial risks.
• Prepare monthly progress applications with accurate re-measurement and variations.
• Procurement activity and contract support with the procurement department.
• Manage subcontractor accounts from award to final account.
• Forecast turnover and cash flow for the projects.
• Review projects for accurate commercial reporting.
• Identify trends within the Business & Projects.
• Review correspondence to flag contract-critical items and respond.
• Ensure adherence to contractual requirements by the construction team.
• Mentor the wider Commercial Team on site.
• All other duties associated with this role.
