Talencia is seeking a Data Business Analyst in Brussels to bridge business needs with Data Engineering, supporting migration from SAP-based landscape to a cloud data platform.

You will gather requirements, design data mappings and models, conduct SQL analysis and data quality checks, and contribute to data governance in a large enterprise environment.

Strong background in SAP BW, SQL, and data warehousing is essential; experience with Google BigQuery and GCP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Assemble and document data requirements, translating business needs into technical specs.
• Experience with SAP BW and data extraction processes is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL and dimensional modeling is required.

Context :

We are looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and Data Engineering teams. In this role, you will play a key part in translating business needs into scalable data solutions while supporting the transformation from an SAP-based landscape to a modern cloud data platform. You will contribute to both the maintenance of the current SAP BW environment and the evolution of the future data architecture.

Description :

As a Data Business Analyst, you will gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into functional and technical data specifications. You will design data mappings, transformation logic, and KPI definitions, while collaborating on conceptual and logical data models.

• Your responsibilities will also include SQL analysis, data profiling, and data quality assessments, as well as producing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications.


• You will lead root cause analyses for data discrepancies and pipeline issues, define and execute testing and UAT activities, and contribute to data governance through documentation and metadata management.


• A strong background in SAP BW, SAP data extraction processes, SQL, data warehousing (ETL, Star/Snowflake schemas), and logical and physical data modelling is essential.


• Experience with Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), SAP SD/MM, or within a retail or large enterprise environment is considered an asset.
