Job summary

Fluvius seeks an Asset Planning Expert to drive budgeting, multi-year investments and data digitization within the Grid Management Directorate. You will translate Excel budgets to a centralized Databricks-based solution, ensuring traceability and governance while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

You will leverage Databricks, Python and Power BI to develop data models, historicization and dashboards, supporting long-term planning and auditability.

• Act as coordinator to ensure coherence of information across departments and possibly contribute to a Databricks interface development later.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Within the Grid Management Directorate, the Asset Planning Expertise department is responsible for the budgeting process of the assets for the five disciplines (E/G/OV/Rio/Heat), taking into account the asset management guidelines.
• As an Asset Planning Expert, you are involved in the preparation and follow-up of the budgets. In doing so, you will contribute to the further digitization of the budget process and the integration of the current Excel budget file into FDIP as a central source.
• You collect and analyze data from different applications and from internal and external parties to get a correct picture of the situation and the context.
• You assist in developing the budget and the multi-year investment plan, both technically and financially, to provide qualitative support to the internal customer and the organization.
• You follow up on internal and external customers and advise them on the implementation of long‑term planning and budgets.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• You work closely and smoothly with internal and external stakeholders in the context of budget preparation.
• You will actively look for optimisations and best practices to continuously improve the management, access and processing of information.
• In the short term, you will set up a basic structure in Databricks according to the Fluvius standards and translate the current Excel solution into a central database.
• You ensure that budget changes are tracked historically, including through SCD Type 2, with sufficient traceability of adjustments, decisions, assumptions and scenarios.
• You advise and support the Asset Planning department in decision‑making and in controlled data entry via interfaces and bulk uploads.
• You provide support with training and communication about the information and processes.
• You act as an independent facilitator and coordinator and monitor the coherence of information and processes within and outside Netbeheer. In a later phase, you can also participate in the development of an interface on top of Databricks.

PROFILE

• You have extensive practical experience with Databricks, Python and Power BI and can independently set up a technical solution.
• Knowledge of data modeling, historicization, audit trails and data governance is important.
• You like teamwork, are analytical and result‑oriented.
• You are strong in conceptual thinking and in performing information analyses and data preparation.
• You manage to work from a helicopter perspective without sacrificing operational pragmatism.
• You are responsible and flexible and have a sense of initiative.
• You have good communication skills.
