Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking an experienced BI & Data Management Expert to drive the digitalization of asset budgeting and planning. You will centralize legacy data, build a robust Databricks base, and migrate Excel logic into a centralized database.

You will implement SCD Type 2 to track budget changes and support multi-year investment plans, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring strong data governance. Dutch language skills are essential for this client.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI consulting and data management.
• 5+ years of data modeling and historization.
• 3+ years with Databricks, Python and Power BI.
• Proven ETL and data management experience.
• Strong conceptual thinking and information analysis.
• Proactive, analytical and result-oriented with helicopter view.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Native Dutch speaker.

Our client, a leading organization in the utility sector, is looking for an expert to drive the digitalization of their asset budgeting and planning processes. This role focuses on transitioning complex financial models into a centralized data architecture to support long-term technical investment strategies.

• Lead the digitalization of the budgeting process by integrating legacy data into a central data platform.
• Build a robust base structure in Databricks and migrate existing logic from Excel to a centralized database.
• Implement data tracking solutions such as SCD Type 2 to ensure full traceability of budget changes, decisions, and scenarios.
• Perform data preparation and analysis to support technical and financial multi-year investment plans.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice on long-term planning and data-driven decision-making.
• Facilitate data governance by managing interfaces, bulk uploads, and audit trails.

• 5+ years of experience in BI Consulting and data management.
• 5+ years of experience with data modeling and historization strategies.
• 3+ years of experience with data processing and analysis using Databricks, Python, and Power BI.
• Proven experience in ETL workflows and Data Management.
• You possess a strong background in conceptual thinking and performing information analyses.
• You're proactive, analytical, and result-oriented with an ability to maintain a helicopter view.
• You bring excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
• You are a native speaker of Dutch.
