Job summary

Pauwels Consulting seeks an analytical professional to support the asset planning department in Melle, Belgium. The role focuses on digitizing budgeting processes and consolidating legacy data into a centralized data platform to improve long-term investment planning.

You will build a Databricks-based data structure, enable historical budget tracking, and collaborate with stakeholders to create multi-year investment plans using Python and Power BI for insights.

Qualifications

• You have 1+ years of data processing and analysis with Databricks, Python and Power BI.
• You bring 1+ years of data modeling and data management.
• You have 1+ years as a BI Consultant and experience with ETL processes.
• You know data governance, audit trails and historization techniques.
• You are analytical, result-oriented with strong conceptual thinking.
• You are native in Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Establish a robust data structure in Databricks and migrate legacy solutions to a centralized database.
• Implement historical tracking for budget changes using SCD Type 2 for traceability.
• Collect and analyze data from multiple internal and external applications for a comprehensive asset view.

The role focuses on digitalizing budgeting processes and integrating legacy data into a centralized data platform to enhance long-term investment planning.

• Establish a robust data structure in Databricks and migrate existing legacy solutions to a centralized database.
• Implement historical tracking for budget changes using SCD Type 2 to ensure traceability of decisions and scenarios.
• Collect and analyze data from multiple internal and external applications to provide a comprehensive view of the asset landscape.
• Assist in the development of multi-year investment plans, covering both technical and financial aspects.
• Advise internal stakeholders on long-term planning and budget execution through data-driven insights.

• You have 1+ years of experience in data processing and analysis using Databricks, Python, and Power BI.
• You bring 1+ years of experience in data modeling and data management.
• You possess 1+ years of experience as a BI Consultant and working with ETL processes.
• You have knowledge of data governance, audit trails, and historization techniques.
• You're analytical, result-oriented, and possess strong conceptual thinking skills.
• You are native in Dutch.
