Lead the development and management of critical data infrastructure and analytics for an impactful non-profit organization. You will ensure robust data streams, secure databases, and insightful reporting to drive the organization's mission forward and maximize its societal impact.
Imagine a role where your data expertise directly translates into tangible societal benefit. Our client, a major player in its sector, is a deeply committed Belgian non-profit organization, operating at the heart of critical social initiatives. In an increasingly data-driven world, the ability to collect, manage, analyze, and report on information is paramount to their mission, enabling them to understand needs, measure impact, and secure vital funding. This organization is seeking a dedicated Data & Analytics Manager to be the architect of their data future. You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the foundational data infrastructure that empowers their outreach, research, and advocacy efforts. This unique part-time (4/5) hybrid position offers the flexibility to blend remote work with on-site collaboration, providing a perfect balance for a professional passionate about leveraging data for good.
As the Data & Analytics Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our client's data ecosystem. Your core responsibilities will revolve around the comprehensive development and meticulous management of various databases, critical ICT applications, and robust data streams essential for effective data management. This entails designing and implementing new data models, optimizing existing database structures, and ensuring seamless data flow across different platforms. You will actively collaborate with a diverse range of internal departments and external partners, fostering strong relationships to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions. A crucial aspect of your role involves managing both common and separate databases, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across the organization. Furthermore, you will be singularly responsible for upholding the highest standards of data security and privacy, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Generating accurate and insightful reports will also be a key function, transforming raw data into actionable intelligence for strategic decision-making.
Your tenure will be marked by the establishment of a highly reliable, secure, and accessible data infrastructure that significantly enhances the non-profit's operational capabilities. You will successfully develop and deploy efficient ICT applications and data streams that streamline data collection and processing. Expect to foster stronger, more productive data-sharing partnerships, both internally and externally, leading to a more integrated and collaborative data environment. Through your diligent efforts, data security will be fortified, minimizing risks and building trust among stakeholders. You will empower the organization with clearer, more actionable data insights through comprehensive and timely reporting, directly informing strategic initiatives and demonstrating measurable impact. Ultimately, your contributions will allow our client to better serve its beneficiaries, optimize its resources, and amplify its voice in the community, solidifying its position as a data-driven leader in the non-profit sector.
The environment is characterized by a mission-driven culture, utilizing a practical and efficient technology stack. You will primarily work with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, along with potentially non-relational databases depending on specific application needs. Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS) may also be beneficial. For ICT applications, the environment may involve custom-developed tools, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), or specialized non-profit management software. Data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes will be crucial, potentially involving tools like SSIS, Python scripts, or other data pipeline orchestrators. Reporting and business intelligence (BI) will rely on platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel-based solutions for data visualization and analysis. A strong emphasis on data governance, backup/recovery strategies, and adherence to privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) is fundamental. Collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams or Google Workspace are integral to daily operations within this hybrid work setting.
