Job summary

Nomios Belgium is seeking a Cybersecurity Presales Engineer to join our Belgian team in Zaventem. You will be the technical expert supporting sales, translating customer needs into cybersecurity solutions, and presenting tailored proposals.

You will design and demonstrate security architectures, contribute to RFPs/RFIs, and ensure smooth handover to engineering and project teams. Fluency in English and working knowledge of Dutch/French are preferred; Belgian residency is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Security Engineer or Security Presales Engineer.
• Strong engineering background with presales experience and sales-focused demos.
• Hands-on with Fortinet, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike or Armis; solid SIEM/EDR/NDR knowledge.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to customers.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and collaborative mindset with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert in customer meetings alongside the sales team.
• Define technical requirements to meet customer goals and design solutions.
• Propose tailored cybersecurity architectures spanning network, endpoint, and detection.
• Design and manage POCs to demonstrate value in the customer's environment.
• Co-author technical sections of RFPs/RFIs and ensure smooth handover to delivery teams.
• Stay updated on threats, trends, and technologies in cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity Presales Engineer

What will your job entail?

At Nomios, you join a driven and talented team of engineers, each specialised in different technologies. Within this team, you'll be responsible for all cybersecurity presales activities: you are the technical expert who helps our customers understand which cybersecurity solution fits their goals, and why Nomios is the perfect partner to service them.

On a daily basis, you work side by side with our sales team in customer meetings and presentations. You translate the customer's needs into technical requirements, design tailored cybersecurity solutions and prove their value through proofs of concept in the customer's own environment. You also contribute to the technical sections of RFPs and RFIs, and make sure the solution you designed is handed over smoothly to our engineering and project teams.

We work for a wide variety of customers across Belgium, from SMEs to large enterprises, in both the private and public sector and across industries such as finance, education and healthcare, which means our projects are truly diverse, challenging and innovative. In Short

• Act as the technical expert in customer meetings and presentations, alongside our sales team, and serve as the liaison between sales and engineering.
• Define the technical requirements needed to meet the customer's goals.
• Design and propose tailored cybersecurity solutions, covering network architecture, endpoint security and threat detection.
• Design, implement and manage POCs that demonstrate the value of cybersecurity products in the customer's environment.
• Answer the technical sections of RFPs and RFIs, together with the sales and proposal teams.
• Analyse competitor products and market positioning, and highlight the strengths of Nomios' offering in customer discussions.
• Document your work thoroughly and work closely with the project manager to ensure successful delivery.
• Stay on top of the latest trends, threats and technologies in cybersecurity.

Job Requirements

What are we looking for in our Presales Engineer?

• At least 5 years of experience as a Security Engineer or Security Presales Engineer.
• A strong engineering background, ideally with a few years of presales experience. Demos, presentations and the combination of technology and sales give you energy.
• Hands-on experience with products from vendors such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike or Armis, and solid knowledge of SIEM, EDR and/or NDR.
• The ability to explain in-depth technical concepts clearly to customers.
• An entrepreneurial, proactive and goal-oriented attitude, combined with empathy and diplomacy.
• You stay calm under pressure, take ownership and like to share your knowledge with colleagues.
• You are fluent in English and have a professional knowledge of Dutch and French.
• You already live in Belgium, which makes it easy to come to our office in Zaventem.
