Excited to work on a project for a key Belgian player in the energy landscape?
The Belgian and European energy landscape is in full swing. Did you know that Elia Belgium plays a crucial role in this?
As part of Elia Group, a European transmission system operator, Elia Belgium ensures the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply in our country.
Side-by-side with other Contingent Workers and ELIA staff, you will play a part in building a sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure that stimulates economic growth and reduces our ecological footprint.
Only together can we make the biggest impact possible! We believe in the power of diversity: we are convinced that an inclusive and diverse work environment leads to more innovation, creativity and better results.
Service description:
Elia is looking for an external contractor to provide technical and operational support for the follow-up of customer connection-study files within the Connection Office. The contractor will support the coordination, documentation, data quality and administrative-technical follow-up of grid user connection requests, in close collaboration with Elia’s internal teams and under the guidance of the responsible Elia service owner.
Expected services
- Register, structure and update customer connection-study files in the relevant operational tools.
- Verify the completeness of technical, customer and project information required to launch or continue the study process.
- Coordinate missing inputs, actions and deliverables with Elia stakeholders such as Grid Development, Infrastructure, Key Account Management and other contributing teams.
- Monitor milestones, dependencies and deadlines, and report risks, delays or missing information to the Elia service owner.
- Prepare and maintain draft offers, connection-contract documentation, technical annexes and conformity-related files on the basis of validated templates and inputs.
- Perform first-level checks on data quality, document consistency and technical completeness before escalation or validation by Elia.
- Ensure proper version control, traceability and storage of documents in accordance with Elia’s processes.
- Support operational customer communication by preparing factual status updates, requests for missing information and documented follow-up, always in alignment with the relevant Elia contact person.
- Identify recurring bottlenecks, data-quality issues and opportunities for process improvement, standardization and automation.
Requirements:
- Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial engineering, electromechanics, electricity, energy technology, business engineering or a related field.
- Ability to communicate clearly in Dutch and French, with professional English.
- Relevant experience in technical coordination, customer operations, contract or document management, engineering support, energy operations or regulated operational processes.
- Ability to understand technical information and identify missing, inconsistent or unclear data.
- Structured, accurate and disciplined way of working, with strong attention to deadlines and document quality.
- Ability to coordinate stakeholders and keep files moving forward in a complex technical and operational environment.
- Customer-oriented communication style, while respecting the decision-making and customer-relationship responsibilities of Elia.
- Comfortable working with digital tools and contributing to improved data quality, process efficiency and standardization.
The external contractor is not expected to take over Elia’s accountability for customer relationships, strategic decisions, final technical validation or regulatory ownership. These responsibilities remain with the appropriate Elia roles. The contractor provides technical and operational support, prepares documentation and performs first-level checks to enable efficient and reliable follow-up by Elia.
