Job summary

EMW, Inc. seeks a Specialist Public Key Infrastructure to drive PKI policy, cryptography and risk management across NATO-related projects. The role is based on-site in Brussels, with occasional travel for coordination with international stakeholders and national authorities.

The incumbent will draft technical documentation, assess architectures, and support audits while liaising with diverse partners. Fluency in English and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Computer or Information Science, Information Management, Information Security, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in a post-related field.
• Strong knowledge of network security and cryptography, including quantum threat considerations.
• PKI regulatory frameworks knowledge with practical implementation or drafting experience.
• Desirable NATO-related cryptographic experience and policies.
• Experience with audit procedures and post-audit remediation planning.
• Proven communication and negotiation skills in a large international environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English (SLP 4343+).

Responsibilities

• Prepare draft documents related to NATO cryptography with a focus on PKI and coordinate approvals through Working Groups and Committees.
• Provide expertise in cryptography and PKI in support of NATO and national initiatives.
• Manage organization of events and develop meeting records.
• Act as secretary or staff support for different working groups.
• Support audits of systems and entities within the Organization.
• Prepare presentations, speeches and speaking notes for senior officials.
• Provide executive advice to Staff Officers on NATO cryptographic stakeholders.
• Manage cryptographic communities of interest portals and support external engagement.
