Kuehne+Nagel in Tessenderlo, Belgium is seeking a Distribution TOC Operations Specialist to manage daily transportation activities, coordinate planning, monitor carrier performance and support freight management processes. You will work closely with carriers, customers and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries and service excellence.

The role requires hands-on experience with TMS, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or transport planning.
• Proven experience in transport planning and coordinating transportation activities.
• Advanced English (written and spoken).
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, formulas, reporting, and analysis of large datasets.

• Coordinate and oversee daily transportation planning and execution.
• Monitor shipments and ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.
• Manage carrier performance and service level compliance.
• Maintain and update transportation data and changes within the TMS.
• Collaborate with warehousing, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders.
• Act as a key contact for customers, carriers, and freight forwarders.
• Analyze transport data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Manage shipment exceptions, delays, and operational issues to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support freight settlement activities, including invoice auditing, cost control, claims management, and profitability monitoring.

Join our dynamic Contract Logistics team in Tessenderlo, Belgium as a Distribution TOC Operations Specialist and play a key role in ensuring seamless transport operations and exceptional customer service.

As a Distribution TOC Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily transportation activities within our Transport Operations Centre. You will be responsible for coordinating shipment planning, monitoring carrier performance, and supporting freight management processes to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.

Working closely with carriers, customer service teams, internal stakeholders, and customers, you will proactively resolve transportation issues, manage exceptions, and ensure shipments are delivered on time. Through your strong problem-solving skills and logistics expertise, you will help maintain high service levels while contributing to the achievement of operational targets and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we would like you to bring

• Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or transport planning;
• Proven experience in transport planning and coordinating transportation activities;
• Advanced English (written and spoken) is a must; any additional language is a strong advantage;
• Advanced Excel skills are mandatory, including Pivot Tables, formulas, reporting, and analysis of large datasets;
• Hands-on experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS);
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and drive solutions;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure;
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience interacting with customers, carriers, and internal teams;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a customer-focused approach;
• Flexible, resilient, and able to prioritize effectively, with knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools is a strong advantage.
