Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a National Customs Operations Manager in Belgium to harmonize and optimize national customs processes. You will shape operations, lead automation initiatives, and act as a bridge between customers, internal teams, and technology partners.

You will drive regional blueprints, ensure compliance, and manage cross-functional projects across Belgium. A strong background in customs, leadership, and project management is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Certified Customs Broker credential required or strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership in customs operations and regulatory compliance.

• Oversee and harmonize national customs operations for efficiency and compliance.

• Identify automation and outsourcing opportunities.
• Support onboarding of new customs business; contribute to RFQs; enable system integrations.

As our National Customs Operations Manager based at any of our locations in Belgium you will play a key strategic role in shaping and harmonizing customs operations within the country. You will drive operational excellence, lead automation and improvement initiatives, and act as a bridge between customers, internal stakeholders, and technology teams. What we would like you to bring

• Degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management or a related field; Certified Customs Broker
• Deep expertise in customs operations, a strong knowledge of international and domestic customs regulations plus leadership experience
• Solid project management experience paired with proven background in process optimization, automation, and compliance management
• Proficiency with Cargowise or similar customs management platforms
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional leadership skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
