Job summary

JOST, a family-owned group with an international footprint in transport and logistics, seeks a proactive Transport Planning & Coordination specialist. You will monitor shipments, coordinate container movements, and serve as the link between key accounts, drivers and the planning department to ensure seamless operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 3 years in container transport planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in container transport planning.
• Good geographical knowledge and understanding of transport planning operations.
• Experience coordinating shipments and communicating with customers and drivers is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ongoing shipments using track & trace tools and adjust as needed.
• Follow up on transport operations and coordinate container movements.
• Identify issues and implement solutions to minimise disruptions.
• Maintain regular communication with the planning department to ensure efficiency.
• Act as main contact between key accounts and the planning department.
• Handle calls and emails, ensuring requests are dealt with efficiently.
• Communicate with customers and provide regular status updates.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction with a friendly, professional service.
• Maintain regular contact with drivers and address day-to-day operational issues.
