Job summary

VeroTech is seeking a Cleanroom R&D Engineer to advance semiconductor process development in a hands-on cleanroom. You will work on III-V technologies (InP, GaAs) and silicon photonics post-processing, developing BEOL flows and integrating them into standard processes.

About The Role

As a Cleanroom R&D Engineer, you contribute to advanced semiconductor process development and hands-on execution in a cleanroom environment. Your work focuses on III-V semiconductor technologies, including InP and GaAs front-end and back-end processing, as well as silicon photonics post-processing.

You develop and execute BEOL processes such as lithography, metallization, passivation and bondpad opening. In close collaboration with a multidisciplinary engineering team, you help integrate developed processes into standardized process flows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cleanroom processes for III-V semiconductor front-end and back-end technologies
• Execute process activities for InP and GaAs semiconductor platforms
• Develop silicon photonics post-processing steps, including lithography, metallization, passivation and bondpad opening
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to align process development with integration needs
• Integrate developed processes into standardized cleanroom process flows

What we're looking for

We are looking for an R&D engineer with a strong cleanroom processing background, solid semiconductor knowledge and a collaborative mindset.

• Master's degree required, ideally a PhD, in applied physics or electrical engineering
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a cleanroom environment
• Strong background in cleanroom processing for III-V semiconductors, including FEOL and BEOL
• Knowledge of silicon BEOL is a plus, combined with good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Fluency in English is mandatory; any other language is a plus
