Job summary

Axis Group in Antwerp seeks a dynamic Claims Manager to lead the claims team across auto, fire and family insurance, driving quality and efficiency while supporting brokers.

You will coach and evaluate staff, implement processes, report to the COO, and balance short-term results with long-term development of your employees. A hybrid role with up to three remote days and a full-time permanent contract.

• Proven experience leading a claims team in auto, fire, and family insurance.
• Strong people manager: coaches, motivates, and provides clear feedback.
• Engaged, results-oriented leadership with data-driven decisions.
• Clear communication and high social skills in a no-nonsense environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Claims team and coordinate day-to-day operations for quality and efficiency.
• Coach, motivate and evaluate employees; set direction and monitor processes.
• Serve as the point of contact for complex or sensitive claims and support cases.
• Translate goals into team objectives; monitor results, quality, and workloads.
• Collaborate with other leaders to improve service delivery and cross-team operations.
• Report to the COO and drive change, transparency, and continuous improvement.
