Job summary

The Financial Mechanism Office (FMO) invites applications for a CSF-TN Officer within the Civil Society Team based in Brussels, Belgium. The role combines grant lifecycle management with policy and programme content coordination to advance democracy, rule of law and human rights across Europe.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience in grant or programme management, with strong analytical, drafting and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in grant management, programme or project management.
• Experience working with civil society organisations, international organisations, public bodies or European networks.
• Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full grant lifecycle; follow up grant agreements, work plans and reporting requirements, organise annual meetings and monitor implementation progress, risks, budgets and results across the portfolio.
• Coordinate with legal, finance and management colleagues to ensure sound financial management and compliance with regulations and donor requirements.
• Oversee the CSF-TN portfolio, ensure effective implementation and alignment with donor objectives and priorities.
• Facilitate synergies with international partners and other relevant initiatives; analyse trends, risks and opportunities.
• Assess relevance and added value of proposed initiatives in collaboration with FMO colleagues.
• Support Donor engagement through briefing notes and strategic analysis; represent the FMO in meetings with European networks and civil society organisations.
