Martin's Château du Lac, hôtel emblématique cinq étoiles au bord du lac Genval, recherche un Chef de Rang pour assurer un service professionnel lors de banquets et événements.

Vous aurez pour rôle de préparer les salles, d’accueillir les invités, de présenter les menus et de coordonner l’équipe de salle, tout en garantissant une expérience client d’exception.

Qualifications

• Au moins 3 ans d’expérience dans le service en salle ou l’événementiel.
• Présentation professionnelle et sens du service fort.
• Apprécie le contact client et a un esprit commercial.

Responsibilities

• Préparer et mettre en place les salles, tables, buffets et zones de service.
• Participer à l’ouverture et à la fermeture du service.
• Accueillir les clients et les guider vers leur table.
• Présenter les menus et les formules proposées lors des événements.
• Prendre les commandes et respecter les allergies et exigences alimentaires.
• Servir les plats et boissons de manière professionnelle.
• Assurer le bon déroulement du service et la satisfaction des clients.
• Coordonner et soutenir le personnel de salle sous votre responsabilité.
• Anticiper les besoins des clients et contribuer à une expérience client de qualité.

About the job

As a Chef de Rang, you will contribute to providing a professional and attentive service, mainly during banquets, seminars, weddings, receptions and other events held at Château du Lac.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and ensuring the set-up of dining rooms, tables, buffets and service areas
• Participating in the opening and closing of the service
• Welcoming guests and escorting them to their table
• Presenting menus, cards and the different formulas offered during events
• Taking orders and paying attention to allergies, dietary requirements and specific requests
• Serving food and beverages in a professional manner
• Ensuring the smooth running of the service and guest satisfaction
• Coordinating and supporting the waiting staff under your responsibility
• Anticipating guests’ needs and contributing to a high-quality guest experience
• Acting as a key link between the restaurant floor, kitchen and other teams involved in the event

Depending on operational needs, you may also occasionally be asked to support the hotel’s restaurant teams.

Profile

You are dynamic, enthusiastic and customer-oriented, enjoy working as part of a team and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 3 years of experience in table service or the events sector
• Has a professional appearance and a strong sense of service
• Enjoys interacting with guests and has a commercial mindset
• Is organised, reliable and able to work independently
• Enjoys working in an events environment and can adapt to different types of service
• Enjoys teamwork and is comfortable taking responsibility on the floor
• Speaks French and Dutch
• Knowledge of English or another language is a plus
