Job summary

EMW is seeking a skilled Cloud and Web Engineer to join our on-site team in Belgium. The role focuses on administering enterprise cloud environments (Azure or AWS), with responsibilities spanning deployment, optimization, and 24/7 support to ensure high availability.

The candidate will automate cloud provisioning using Terraform, develop Python/Bash/PowerShell scripts, and work closely with stakeholders to resolve complex issues while maintaining strong security posture (NATO SECRET).

Qualifications

• Active NATO SECRET security clearance.
• Experience with web hosting solutions on prem and in cloud.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure enterprise-wide cloud environments (MS Azure or AWS).
• Provide Level 2/3 support for cloud issues and resolve operational problems promptly.
• Provision and maintain VMs, storage and web hosting environments (on prem and in cloud).
• Manage and optimize cloud components and web hosting environment.
• Automate deployment and management of AWS or Azure resources using Terraform or similar tools.
• Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks such as instance management, backups and scaling.
• Perform other duties as may be required.

Duties & Role:

• Administer, configure enterprise-wide cloud environments (MS Azure or AWS)
• Provide Level 2/3 support for cloud related issues, investigating and resolving operational problems in a timely manner.
• Provision and maintain VMs, Storage (on cloud), and Web Hosting environments (on prem and on cloud) ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage and optimize cloud components and web hosting environment.
• Automate the deployment and management of AWS or Azure resources using Terraform, or similar tools.
• Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, such as instance management, backups, and scaling
• Perform other duties, as may be required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Experience with Web Hosting solutions (like SharePoint, Apache, Oracle Web Logic) on prem and on cloud.
• Experience with Amazon AWS cloud Azure environments (IaaS and PaaS services).
• Experience with Azure VMs, virtual networks, Load Balancers and Azure monitor
• Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Must have excellent spoken and written English communication and presentation skills, as demonstrated by recent experience (within the past 5 years);
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users, team members and stakeholders
• Must demonstrate the ability and self-motivation to work on his/her own but must also work well within groups as part of a team;
• Must demonstrate an ability and keen sense for problem-solving.
