EMW, Inc. is seeking a Cloud and Kubernetes Engineer to administer enterprise cloud environments (Azure and AWS) on-site in Belgium. You will build and secure VMs, storage, databases, and networks while aligning with NATO SECRET security requirements.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines, write automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and optimize cloud operations with monitoring tools. Fluency in English is essential; NATO clearance required.

Qualifications

• Active NATO SECRET clearance required.
• Strong experience with Amazon AWS cloud services (IAM, EC2, ALB, CloudFront, CloudFormation, WAF, Monitoring, Storage, Cognito).
• Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services and Azure VMs, storage accounts, VNets, Load Balancers, and Monitor.

Responsabilités

• Administer and configure enterprise-wide cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
• Provide L2/L3 support for cloud issues, diagnosing and resolving operational problems.
• Provision and maintain VMs, storage, and databases with high availability and performance.
• Manage cloud networking components (VPCs, subnets, route tables, VPNs, Direct Connect).
• Automate deployment and management of cloud resources using Terraform or similar tools.
• Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks (backups, scaling).
• Perform additional duties as required.

Duties & Role:

• Administer, configure enterprise-wide cloud environments (MS Azure or AWS)
• Provide Level 2/3 support for cloud related issues, investigating and resolving operational problems in a timely manner.
• Provision and maintain virtual machines, storage, and databases on cloud, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage and optimize cloud networking components like VPCs, subnets, route tables, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
• Automate the deployment and management of AWS or Azure resources using Terraform, or similar tools.
• Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, such as instance management, backups, and scaling
• Perform other duties, as may be required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Sound experience with Amazon AWS cloud environment (IAM, EC2, ALB, CloudFront, CloudFormation, WAF, Monitoring, Storage, Cognito)
• Experience with operating enterprise Azure environments (IaaS and PaaS services).
• Experience with Azure VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks, Load Balancers and Azure monitor
• Strong and hands-on experience with Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers (on Cloud and on premisses)
• Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Proficiency in managing and securing VPC networks, firewalls, and access control.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus).
• Must have excellent spoken and written English communication and presentation skills, as demonstrated by recent experience (within the past 5 years);
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users, team members and stakeholders
• Must demonstrate the ability and self-motivation to work on his/her own but must also work well within groups as part of a team;
• Must demonstrate an ability and keen sense for problem-solving.
• Motivated, good communication skills, team player.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization.
