Lotus Bakeries in Belgium is seeking a Business Controller to act as a trusted partner, delivering data-driven insights to drive profitability, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across our international Biscuits & Bakery operations.

You will analyze performance, collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations, drive monthly reporting and budgeting, and support transfer pricing and CAPEX initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Finance, Business Controlling or a similar analytical role.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to build relationships and influence decisions.
• Fluency in English with ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Responsabilités

As Business Controller, you will act as a trusted business partner within our Biscuits & Bakery business unit, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to drive profitability, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across our international operations.

• Analyze business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations teams to deliver clear commercial and operational analyses that support strategic decision-making.
• Drive the monthly management reporting, ensuring the accuracy of financial results, KPIs, and performance insights across the business unit.
• Play a key role in the annual budgeting and transfer pricing processes by challenging assumptions, validating business cases, and monitoring financial impact of investments.
• Evaluate and support strategic initiatives such as CAPEX investments, new product launches, and cost-saving projects through thorough financial analysis.
• You report directly to the Finance Director Biscuits & Bakery.

Profile

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

• A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Finance, Business Controlling, or a similar analytical role.
• Advanced Excel skills, experience with SAP is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence decision-making, and challenge stakeholders constructively.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for a wide range of business stakeholders.
