Lotus Bakeries is seeking a Project Engineer Automation to join our Group Engineering Department. You will lead automation projects across our Biscoff and Natural Foods Plants, from scope and budget through commissioning and aftercare, in collaboration with local technical teams and international sites.

You will develop expertise in Industry 4.0 technologies, maintain procedures for automation systems, and travel to Biscoff plants abroad as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in automation Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a strong asset.
• Passion for new technologies and Industry 4.0.
• Knowledge of Rockwell and/or Siemens is strongly recommended.
• Excellent teamwork and flexibility with international cultures.
• Based in Lembeke and willing to travel to our Biscoff plants abroad.

Responsabilités

• Study, execute and/or lead automation projects for the plants, coordinating with local technical and operational teams through the full lifecycle from scope to aftercare.
• Work on CAPEX and revamping projects for the Biscoff plants in Lembeke, Mebane and Chonburi and the Natural Foods Plant in Wolseley.
• Develop and maintain procedures to reliably manage automation systems using formal project management processes.
• Keep up to date with new technologies in bakery packaging and share knowledge within the team.
• Act as sparring partner for external topic experts and provide plant-wide support.

As Project Engineer Automation, you are part of our Group Engineering Department. This team focuses on implementing the automation strategy of CAPEX projects in the Global Biscoff and Natural Foods Plants.

• You study, execute and/or lead various automation engineering projects for the Plants in coordination with the local technical and/or operational teams. This includes the complete project lifecycle, starting from scope and objective definition, concept and budget preparation, tendering until detailed engineering, commissioning and aftercare.
• You work on CAPEX project as well as revamping projects for our 3 Biscoff Plants in Lembeke, Mebane (US) and Chonburi (Thailand) and our Natural Food Plant in Wolseley (South-Africa).
• You develop and retain a strong expertise within the team in order to act as a reliable sparring partner for external topic experts and to supply support to the plant.
• Through your expertise, you also develop and maintain working procedures to reliably manage the automation systems, while using formal project management processess in all phases of the project.
• In this role, we also count on you to keep up to date with new developments in technology related to the bakery sector and packaging machines, documenting and sharing your knowledge about new technologies and evolutions within the team and technical departments of the plants.

Profile

• Master’s degree in automation Engineering or a related field. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is considered a strong asset.
• Passion for new technologies and Industry 4.0.
• Knowledge of Rockwell and/or Siemens is strongly recommended.
• Strong analytical and creative skills in order to be able to solve complex technical issues and translate those into structured solutions.
• Excellent team-orientation and a flexible attitude towards international cultures.
• You're based in Lembeke but you’re willingto travel to our Biscoff plants abroad.
