Job summary

Group AQ, an international industrial services company, invites you to join as a Business Controller. This newly created role offers immediate responsibility and the chance to shape the function while partnering with the CFO and senior management.

You will work on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and KPI development across multiple countries, building dashboards and ensuring robust financial controls in a dynamic, growing organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
• Several years of experience in Controlling, Finance or similar role.
• Experience with M&A projects or integrations is an asset.
• Solid understanding of financial planning, reporting and performance management.
• Advanced Excel skills and affinity with ERP and reporting systems.
• Experience with Power BI is also an asset.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; analytical and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting cycles across the Group.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting.
• Support Board reporting and provide meaningful business insights.
• Develop, implement and monitor financial and operational KPIs.
• Translate data into recommendations to improve performance.
• Build and further develop reporting structures, dashboards and management information.
• Support integration of systems and data sources across the organization.
• Drive initiatives to improve reporting efficiency, quality and automation.
• Contribute to professionalization of finance processes and tools.
• Establish and maintain financial controls, procedures and reporting standards.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency and reliability of management information.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives; work with operations, management and support functions.
• Challenge and support stakeholders with financial insights and recommendations.
• Build strong relationships across functions, countries and levels.

This is not a traditional controller role focused solely on reporting. As a newly created position, you will have the opportunity to help shape the function, build structures, improve processes, and provide valuable insights that support strategic decision-making across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the budgeting and forecasting cycles across the Group.
