Rhox, a major Belgian financial institution, seeks a Senior Business Analyst for Cards to translate business needs into IT requirements, drive changes in card products and processes, and ensure alignment with the cards strategy.

You’ll collaborate across stakeholders, a delivery squad, and IT, document requirements and acceptance criteria, oversee BAT testing, and track gaps to ensure the delivered solution achieves the intended business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years as a Business Analyst in a cards environment.

A major Belgian financial institution operates payment card products and related services in the Belgian cards industry. This Senior Business Analyst Cards role exists to assess issues and change requests, improve card products and processes, and translate business needs into requirements that IT teams can implement. You will work across business stakeholders, a delivery squad, and IT, with exposure to card technology, architecture, and payment services such as Wero and Apple Pay.

The mission

The scope covers card products, related services, business processes, and the interfaces between business and IT. You will assess proposed changes in the context of the cards industry in Belgium, including market players, trends, and payment alternatives. The work includes comparing solution options with squad colleagues and defining the business scope and target operating model before implementation.

The day-to-day role combines analysis, stakeholder management, and delivery follow-up. You will clarify complex topics with business owners and senior stakeholders, document business requirements and acceptance criteria, and ensure that the selected solution reflects the intended business outcome. After implementation begins, you will follow the change through Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), identify gaps, and support quality decisions.

Your profile

Essential skills

• Bring at least 6 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in a cards environment.
• Apply business expertise across cards products, processes, and related services.
• Understand the cards industry in Belgium, including relevant players, market trends, and business developments.
• Connect complex business topics with their implications for IT and communicate them clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work analytically and independently, using a structured and critical approach to reach sound decisions.
• Manage stakeholder discussions with a client-oriented attitude, strong communication, negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a focus on quality and outcomes.

Preferred skills

• Understand cards-related technology and architecture.
• Bring experience in project management or as a Product Owner in a cards business.
• Apply agile methodology in change delivery.
• Know payment methods such as Wero and Apple Pay.

Languages

• English: C1, strong written and spoken communication.
• Dutch: B2, good spoken communication.
• French: B2, good spoken communication.

Education

Master’s degree in Business Management or equivalent professional experience.
