Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in banking or payments.
• Experience in cards or payment domain and knowledge of card products, payment services.
• Strong ability to capture, document, and translate business requirements into actionable specs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across levels.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and with cross-functional teams.

• Analyse business needs, issues, and opportunities related to cards and payment products and services.
• Evaluate change requests and assess their business and operational impact.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to identify and evaluate solution options.
• Gather, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Define clear business requirements, business rules, processes, and acceptance criteria.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams and translate needs into actionable requirements.
• Support the definition of target processes, operating models, and interfaces between business and IT.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the delivery lifecycle and support BAT testing.

We are seeking an experiencedBusiness Analyst with expertise in Cards and Paymentsto support business and technology initiatives within a leading organisation in thebanking and financial services sector.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of business and technology, collaborating with stakeholders, product teams, and IT teams to analyse business needs, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into effective solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis capabilities with a solid understanding ofcard products, payment services, business processes, and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business needs, issues, and opportunities related to cards and payment products and services.
• Evaluate change requests and assess their business and operational impact.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to identify and evaluate solution options.
• Gather, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Define clear business requirements, business rules, processes, and acceptance criteria.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
• Translate business needs into structured and actionable requirements for technology and delivery teams.
• Support the definition of business scope, target processes, operating models, and business-to-IT interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support the implementation of changes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Participate in and support Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), including the validation of delivered solutions.
• Identify potential risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels, including senior management.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum6 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst.
• Experience within thebanking, financial services, cards, or payments domain.
• Strong understanding of business processes and their interaction with technology solutions.
• Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear and structured requirements.
• Experience defining acceptance criteria and supporting business testing activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex and cross-functional environment.
• Comfortable working independently while contributing actively to a team.

Preferred

• Experience with card products and card-related services.
• Knowledge of payment products, payment ecosystems, and emerging payment technologies.
• Understanding of cards-related technology and system architecture.
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience working with Product Owners, project managers, and technology teams.
• Previous experience in product, process, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of digital wallets and alternative payment methods is an advantage.
• Master’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Technology, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent relevant professional experience will also be considered.
• English:Strong written and spoken communication skills are required.
• Knowledge ofDutch and/or Frenchis considered an advantage.
