Mission Masala is seeking a dynamic Assistant Maître d’Hôtel to lead our Brussels Bombay BBQ restaurant. You will be in charge of daily operations across floor, bar and kitchen, ensuring excellent guest experiences and smooth service.

As a natural host with strong leadership, you will manage staff scheduling, onboarding, training and development while controlling labour costs and KPIs. Start date is 01/09/2026 with meal vouchers after 6 months and after 1 year.

Qualifications

• Passion for food and beverage and ability to connect with guests and staff.
• Natural host with strong leadership and hospitality skills.
• Min 2 years’ experience in a leading position in hospitality.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Well organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food handling, safety and restaurant guidelines is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsabilités

• Be the first in command and captain of the Brussels location, overseeing daily restaurant operations across floor, bar and kitchen.
• Lead and coordinate FOH, bar, kitchen and cleaning teams, set clear expectations and monitor execution.
• Ensure an excellent guest experience by handling reservations, special requests, complaints, and guest needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve service standards and efficiency.
• Create and manage staff schedules based on sales forecasts and peak times.
• Support HR in recruiting, onboarding, training and development of staff.
• Coach and manage team performance with regular feedback to build a positive culture.
• Monitor labour cost, overtime and shift changes to maintain efficiency.
• Take ownership of KPIs like staff cost, wastage, average spend and table turns.
• Drive sales and profitability through reservations, upselling, and commercial initiatives.
• Manage daily financial administration and cash handling with accuracy.
• Oversee inventory, ordering and supplier relationships, monitor stock levels and variances.
• Ensure HACCP, hygiene, and health & safety compliance at all times.
• Oversee cleanliness, maintenance and facilities to keep the restaurant safe and ready for service.
• Report weekly to Operations Management and follow up on actions.
