iBanFirst in Brussels is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Brussels-based team.

You will verify invoices and expenses, prepare supplier payments, perform bank reconciliations, handle French payroll journals, assist with monthly closings and year-end audits, and contribute to internal process improvements and VAT returns.

Fluent English and French, BEGAAP/FRGAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and a collaborative mindset are required.

Qualifications

• University/bachelor degree in accounting or corporate finance.
• Experience with BEGAAP and FRGAAP understanding.
• French VAT experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Organized, precise and rigorous.
• Team player.

Responsabilités

• Verification and entry of invoices and expense reports.
• Preparation of supplier payments.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Preparation of the monthly French payroll journals.
• Participation in periodic accounting closings.
• Completing the Year-End audit for France, and participation for all other branches.
• One-off financial analysis.
• Contribution to the drafting and updating of accounting and administrative procedures.
• Support for projects related to the evolution of our internal tool.
• Participation in the preparation of VAT returns.
• Participation in the consolidation of subsidiaries.
