Job summary

SolarPower Europe is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead soft HR operations and strategy for about 60 staff in Brussels. The role focuses on the full employee lifecycle, policy development and compliance, and learning and development within a dynamic, diverse environment.

The ideal candidate will drive DEI initiatives, oversee performance management, and ensure alignment with organisational goals while collaborating with other departments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of proven working experience in general HR management, ideally in a non-profit association.
• Experience designing and implementing HR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
• Excellent active listening, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all soft HR operations and strategy for 60 staff members.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, the employee handbook and salary frameworks.
• Drive DEI initiatives and ensure Belgian labour law compliance.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, and employee relations.
• Collaborate with Finance & Admin on payroll and benefits.
