Rocco Forte Hotels Group is seeking an Assistant Manager Repair & Maintenance in Brussels. You will lead technical staff, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure high service standards across building systems.

You will organize schedules, monitor contractor work, and develop maintenance plans while mentoring new team members and contributing to cost control and asset documentation.

Responsabilités

• Assist in operational leadership to technical staff and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Organise team schedules and daily work distribution.
• Monitor activities of the team and external contractors.
• Coordinate maintenance for electrical, sanitary, HVAC and related systems.
• Develop maintenance schedules and keep documentation up to date.
• Train new employees and ensure safety standards.
• Investigate root causes of failures and arrange repairs.
• Prepare data sheets and manuals; maintain technical drawings.
• Advise on spare parts, tools and budget impact; manage stock.
• Engage suppliers for quotations and resolve issues.

A former prison, it became a hotel in 1957, just in time to host royals, celebrities and VIPs for the Brussels World's Fair. Hotel Amigo is looking for an Assistant Manager Repair & Maintenance. With a hands-on approach, strong organizational skills, and a passion for quality, you will contribute in creating an environment that delivers exceptional service.

Your key responsibilities

Reporting and in consultation with the Engineering Director you will:

• Assist in operational leadership to technical staff and coordinates preventive maintenance and repairs

• Assist in organising team schedule and the daily distribution of work and tasks

• Monitor the activities of the team or work carried out by external contractors

• Coordinate team work relating to preventive maintenance and repairs of buildings and installations, including electrical systems, sanitary installations, water supply and heating systems, kitchen and room equipment, air conditioning, buildings, etc

• Develop maintenance schedules

• Train and familiarizes new employees

• Investigate the causes of technical failures, develops repair plans and, where necessary, calls in external technicians

• Ensure prompt and effective interview in case of malfunctions

• Prepare technical data sheets and writes manuals in consultation

• Maintain technical plans, drawings and documentation

• Provide recommendations to help keep the maintenance budget under control and advises on the purchase of spare parts, tools and equipment

• Oversee stock management; is authorized to make arrangements with suppliers to resolve existing problems or to contact companies to request quotations
