Job summary

Magnax Motors in Kortrijk, Belgium, seeks an Applications Engineer to be the technical link between customers, the market and our R&D team. You will translate customer specifications into motor requirements, build and price proposals, and follow projects through to closure.

You will also monitor the robotics market to identify where axial flux motors add the most value, report insights to management, and support datasheets and sales tools while joining customer visits and trade fairs.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to translate customer specifications into motor requirements for R&D.
• Experience building customer proposals and pricing.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits and trade fairs.

Responsibilities

• Act as first technical contact for customer inquiries and determine exact needs.
• Translate customer specs (RFIs/RFQs) into motor requirements with R&D, select the right motor solution.
• Build proposals including pricing and follow up until the project is won.
• Track robotics market and identify where axial flux motors provide value.
• Report insights to management to guide product and commercial choices.
• Support datasheets and sales tools, relay customer feedback to R&D, attend visits and fairs.

Magnax builds next-generation electric motors based on yokeless axial flux technology. They are compact, light and efficient, which makes them a strong match for robotics. We're a team of about 30 people in Kortrijk, mostly engineers from many countries. We work in English and move fast from idea to prototype.

As Applications Engineer, you are the technical link between our customers, the market and our R&D team.
