Job summary

WEG Benelux is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical and commercial guidance to customers and write definitive offers with input from factories in Brazil, Portugal, Austria and China.

You will analyze customer specifications, manage follow-up on projects, and contribute to product quality controls while maintaining strong relations with sales, logistics and finance teams. Travel to customers may be requested.

Qualifications

• Master or bachelor in technical studies such as electrics or electro-mechanics or relevant experience.
• 5 years of experience in a commercial and technical department.
• Experience offering on technical matters.
• Independent and team oriented with strong communication.
• Analytical, creative and commercial mindset with attention to detail.
• Fluent in French or Dutch with strong knowledge of the other language and English.
• MS Office knowledge; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on technical and commercial questions.
• Write and document technical and commercial offers with colleagues and factories.
• Analyze customer project specifications and summarize them to write the definitive offer.
• Follow up on running offers and projects.
• Maintain and improve products and quality controls.
• Visit customers upon request.
• Maintain daily contact with manufacturers worldwide.
• Coordinate daily with outside sales, logistics and finance departments.
• Verify order confirmations on technical and administrative basis.
• Participate actively in sales meetings.

Due to its actual growth and as part of its expansion plan, WEG Benelux is actively searching for an Application Engineer.

Your tasks:

• You give advices and answers to technical and commercial questions of our customers.
• You write and document technical and commercial offers together with your colleagues and the factories based in Brazil, Portugal, Austria and China
• You deeply analyse the specifications of our customer’s projects and you summarize them in order to write the definitive offer
• You are in charge of the follow-up on running offers and projects
• You participate actively in maintaining and improving the products and quality controls
• You may visit customers upon request
• You have daily contacts with the manufactures of the company throughout the world
• You have daily contacts with outside sales, logistics and financial department
• You check on a technical and administrative basis the order confirmations
• You participate actively in the WEG sales meetings

Your skills:

• You have a master or bachelor in technical studies such as electrics or electro-mechanics or relevant experience
• You have relevant experience of 5 years in a commercial and technical department
• You have relevant experience in offering on technical matters
• You are independent and enthusiast, but also a team player who can communicate easily with your contact persons and colleagues
• You have an analytical, creative and commercial mindset and you care for details.
• You are either French or Dutch speaker with deep knowledge of the other language and English (written and spoken)
• MS Office knowledge is requested. SAP knowledge is a plus.
