Job summary

Jefferson Wells Belgium is seeking an Analytical Scientist to join its Manufacturing Science, Analytics & Technology (MSAT) organization in Belgium. The role focuses on development, transfer, validation, and continuous improvement of analytical methods for biologics in a GMP environment.

You will lead qPCR and ELISA methods, transfer from R&D to MSAT and QC, design experiments, write protocols and reports, and ensure data integrity and cGMP compliance.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field.
• Strong expertise in qPCR and ELISA within biopharma/biotech settings.
• Experience in analytical method development, qualification and validation.
• Knowledge of protein characterization techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for qPCR and ELISA analytical methods.
• Lead method transfer from R&D to MSAT with documentation and training.
• Support transfer from MSAT to QC including protocols and reports.
• Design, develop, optimize and validate analytical methods for manufacturing processes.
• Plan and execute analytical studies and DOE experiments.
• Write high-quality protocols and GMP documentation.
• Monitor method performance via data analysis and statistics.
• Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Provide hands-on lab support for testing activities.
