Job summary

In4Matic is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our client’s team and safeguard reliability, performance, and continuity of a complex IT solution. You’ll own testing activities from planning through execution, reporting, and continuous improvement, collaborating with developers, business analysts and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years hands-on testing experience, solid QA principles, and a track record in test planning, execution, and defect reporting.

You'll play a key role in safeguarding the reliability, performance, and continuity of a complex IT solution, ensuring that applications, integrations, and data flows operate as expected. Working closely with developers, business analysts, and other project stakeholders, you'll take ownership of testing activities from planning and preparation through execution, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, document, and execute functional, technical, acceptance, and regression tests.
• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and concise test descriptions in collaboration with the project team.
• Execute and repeat tests using documented test scripts, ensuring thorough coverage and traceability.
• Maintain and support automated testing activities to detect defects efficiently and improve overall test coverage.
• Work with test data and different test environments to validate system behaviour and identify potential issues.
• Record defects, test progress, findings, and results accurately, providing clear reports and actionable insights.
• Identify recurring or structural issues and contribute to continuous improvement by refining testing procedures, working instructions, and documentation.

Technical Profile

• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in software testing.
• Solid understanding of IT systems, applications, and software quality assurance principles.
• Proven experience in preparing, structuring, documenting, and executing test activities.
• Knowledge of automated testing tools, test data management, and test environments.
• Experience with defect tracking, issue documentation, and test result reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess results critically and identify inconsistencies.
