Job summary

Abakus IT-Solutions in Belgium seeks an experienced IT Integration Specialist to implement components in ServiceMix ESB and Azure ecosystems. You will work on new projects and maintenance across ESB, API Gateway, and messaging platforms, collaborating with project managers and infrastructure teams.

The role requires 5+ years of IT experience, strong Java stack knowledge, and certification in Scrum. On-site in Charleroi with remote work up to two days per week is available.

Qualifications

• Completed OWASP training (external or internal).

Job description

The role sits within the IT department of a public organisation in Belgium. The work involves implementing integration components in the ServiceMix ESB and Microsoft Azure ecosystems (Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, Azure Blob Storage), for new projects as well as for the evolutive and corrective maintenance of existing components.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements set out in functional analyses, technical requests or change requests
• Define, implement and test changes to ESB, API Gateway and messaging platforms
• Define interfaces and the changes needed to software components for their integration
• Take part in the day-to-day production management of integration platforms and components
• Investigate and resolve production issues on these platforms
• Monitor inter-application flows to ensure integration is efficient, sustainable and compatible with existing systems
• Contribute to the documentation of ESB, API Gateway and messaging platforms, installation standards and operations documentation
• Design, develop and evolve shared backends based on the architecture documents provided
• Estimate delivery effort and help estimate workload plans
• Coordinate with project managers, application owners, architects, developers and infrastructure teams
• Contribute to information security and risk management
• Carry out unit and integration testing, and apply continuous integration principles
• Follow the technical standards and recommendations in place
• Keep technical knowledge up to date and attend specialised training when needed

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a Master’s degree (a Master’s in IT is an asset, other fields are accepted)
• At least 5 years of professional experience in IT, including proven experience in software development (design, implementation, testing, maintenance)
• Professional/Certified Scrum Master or Professional/Certified Scrum Developer certification (any date of issue, expired certifications accepted)
• Completed OWASP training (external certificate or documented internal training)
