Abakus IT-Solutions in Belgium seeks an Infrastructure Project & Program Manager to lead IT infrastructure initiatives from the pre‑study phase through to production deployment, covering network, databases, hosting, cloud, ITSM, CMDB, security and modernization.

You will perform a PMO function, oversee a portfolio of projects, coordinate teams and stakeholders, ensure reliable delivery, risk management, and alignment with business goals while applying PRINCE2, PMBOK and Agile/Scrum practices.

Qualifications

• Proven governance experience in infrastructure environments.
• Experience in project portfolio management and PMO activities.
• Strong knowledge of PRINCE2, PMBOK and Agile/Scrum.
• Agile certification required.
• Familiarity with Planisware and ITSM/CMDB tools.

Responsabilités

• Lead multiple IT infrastructure projects from initiation through production deployment.
• Set up and coordinate project teams, service providers, experts, and stakeholders.
• Organize and lead project kick‑off meetings.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, scope, risks, dependencies, and changes.
• Manage and maintain an infrastructure‑oriented project/program portfolio.
• Produce PMO reporting for relevant stakeholders.
• Gather, formalise, analyse, and challenge business and technical requirements.
• Assess the impact of business projects on IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate execution, testing, training, and production deployment phases.
• Manage provisional and final acceptance processes.
• Integrate security, resilience, business continuity, digital sovereignty, and supplier dependency management.

AISB-1026 Infrastructure Project & Program Manager

Your Mission

We are looking for an Infrastructure Project & Program Manager to lead technical projects and programs related to IT infrastructure, from the pre-study phase through to production deployment.

You will work on projects covering areas such as network, databases, hosting, cloud, ITSM, CMDB, security, and infrastructure modernization.

You will also have a PMO role, overseeing a portfolio of projects, preparing reporting, and identifying infrastructure-related risks, prerequisites, and impacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple IT infrastructure projects simultaneously, from initiation through production deployment.
• Set up and coordinate project teams, service providers, experts, and stakeholders.
• Organize and lead project kick‑off meetings.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, scope, risks, dependencies, and changes.
• Manage and maintain an infrastructure‑oriented project/program portfolio.
• Produce PMO reporting for relevant stakeholders.
• Gather, formalise, analyse, and challenge business and technical requirements.
• Assess the impact of business projects on IT infrastructure.
• Contribute to the preparation of analyses and specifications, as well as bid evaluations.
• Coordinate execution, testing, training, and production deployment phases.
• Manage provisional and final acceptance processes.
• Integrate requirements related to security, resilience, business continuity, digital sovereignty, and supplier dependency management.
• Adapt project management methodologies according to the project context: predictive, Agile, or hybrid.
• Understand technical analyses, challenge proposed solutions, and facilitate decision‑making.
• Contribute to the resolution of critical situations without replacing the architects or engineers responsible for implementation.

Required Profile

• Proven experience in project and program governance within infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience in project portfolio management and PMO activities.
• Strong knowledge of PRINCE2, PMBOK, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Agile certification is required.
• Good knowledge of project management tools; Planisware is an asset.
• Excellent knowledge of ITIL best practices; ITIL certification is an asset.
• Experience with ITSM and CMDB tools, particularly JIRA Service Management.
• Strong understanding of Cloud concepts, particularly key AWS and Azure infrastructure services.
• Knowledge of containerisation tools and CI/CD environments.
• Experience in IT infrastructure modernization and obsolescence management.
• General knowledge of networking, storage, backup, virtualisation, Windows/Linux, databases, middleware, security, IAM/Directory, monitoring, and application delivery.
• Experience in requirements definition and gathering, as well as process definition.
• Experience within a public‑sector or large‑scale organisation is an asset.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, autonomy, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and synthesis skills.
