Qargo seeks an AI Software Engineer – MCP & Agents to build MCP tools and agent infrastructure for our cloud-based TMS platform in Ghent. You’ll expand agent tooling, interact with customer success, and scale AI components for reliability and performance.

You will work across R&D, rapid prototyping, and productionisation of AI features, shaping Qargo’s long-term AI strategy while collaborating with internal teams to translate logistics challenges into practical AI solutions.

Formación

• Experience in software engineering or AI roles.
• Strong programming skills, preferably Python or backend languages.
• Experience designing MCP interfaces.
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems in production is a plus.
• Ability to iterate quickly and validate assumptions.
• Clear communication and collaboration with engineers, product managers, and domain experts.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and improve AI agent workflows.
• Maintain AI systems in production for cost, latency, reliability.
• Bring AI prototypes to production with quality and observability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI workflows (e.g., onboarding setup automation, system configuration, …).
• Develop and enhance AI-driven features such as document extraction, matching flows, quality checks, chatbots, and automated bookings.
• Stay up to date with advancements in AI and identify opportunities to improve the product.
