Pauwels Consulting is seeking an AI Engineer to develop and manage technical components that enable AI integration across client projects. You will build agents, retrieval solutions, and MLOps pipelines while supporting teams in deploying AI use cases.

Ideal candidates have hands-on software or ML engineering experience, strong Python/Java skills, and practical knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, retrieval, APIs, and CI/CD practices. Hybrid work in Brussels is offered.

Formación

• 5+ years hands-on experience as software, platform, or ML Engineer
• Strong programming in Python and Java
• Practical knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, retrieval, and AI agents
• Experience with APIs, authentication, containers, and automated testing
• Expertise in CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and observability
• Attention to security, privacy, and reliability standards
• Proactive, solution‑oriented with strong communication and advisory skills
• Active in Dutch and French with passive English knowledge

Responsabilidades

The role focuses on building agents, retrieval solutions, and MLOps pipelines while supporting teams in implementing AI across various use cases.

• Implement AI services, agents, retrieval solutions, and API integrations.
• Build reusable components for model access, prompting, context management, and logging.
• Establish automated test and evaluation sets for quality, security, performance, and cost management.
• Apply CI/CD and MLOps/LLMOps practices for version control, deployment, and monitoring.
• Provide technical support for sandboxes and proofs of concept to ensure production readiness.

• You bring 5+ years of hands-on experience as a software, platform, or ML Engineer.
• You possess strong programming skills in Python and Java.
• You have practical knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, retrieval techniques, and AI agents.
• You have experience with APIs, authentication, containers, and automated testing.
• You possess expertise in CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and observability.
• You're attentive to security, privacy, and operational reliability standards.
• You're proactive and solution-oriented with strong communication and advisory skills.
• You are active in Dutch and French with a passive knowledge of English.
