Job summary

FinSquare Consulting Group in Brussels seeks an Accounting Consultant to support multiple clients. You will record and control all accounting transactions, assist with monthly and annual closings, and ensure data accuracy at client sites. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting and 1–5 years’ experience, fluency in French and good Dutch, and a proactive, structured, and analytical mindset.

• Provide proactive support to operational teams in day-to-day accounting activities.
• Identify discrepancies and contribute to process improvements.
• Integrate client teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

Job description

As part of assignments with various clients, the Accounting Consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Recording and controlling all accounting transactions (suppliers, customers, banks, cash, fixed assets…) in compliance with legal standards and internal procedures
• Actively contributing to monthly and annual closings (reconciliations, accruals, amortisations, reporting…)
• Ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of accounting and financial data at client sites
• Providing proactive support to operational teams in their day-to-day accounting activities
• Identifying discrepancies, proposing adjustments, and contributing to continuous process improvement
• Quickly integrating client teams and ensuring smooth collaboration with various stakeholders

The ideal profile :

• Degree in Accounting (Bachelor’s or equivalent)
• 1 – 5 years of experience in accounting
• Fluent in French, with a good command of Dutch
• Autonomous, structured, rigorous, and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
• Comfortable working in multi-client environments
