Cohabs is seeking an Accountant Intern based in Belgium to support the accounting team with day-to-day tasks for our French entity and contribute to the monthly closing.

You will encode invoices, perform bank reconciliations, follow up on supplier payments, process payroll journals, and assist with provisions and account reconciliation.

Starting January 2027, this internship provides hands-on learning in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Structured, rigorous approach to work.
• Curious, motivated, and not afraid to ask questions.
• Attention to detail and reliability.
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets; accounting software is a plus.
• Fluent in French; English a plus.

Responsabilités

At Cohabs, we create high-quality living spaces and communities across Europe. We are looking for an Accountant Intern based in Belgium to support the accounting team with the day-to-day accounting of our French entity and contribute to our monthly closing process.

What you’ll be doing:

• Invoice Management: Encode and process customer and supplier invoices for our French entity.
• Bank Reconciliation: Prepare bank reconciliations and help ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date.
• Supplier Payments: Follow up on supplier payments and support the team in ensuring invoices are paid on time.
• Payroll Accounting: Encode payroll journal entries and support the accounting team with payroll-related accounting tasks.
• Monthly Closing: Participate in the monthly closing process, including reviewing the income statement and identifying discrepancies.
• Supporting the analysis and recording of provisions.
• Reviewing and reconciling accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

What we’re looking for:

• Relevant Background: You are currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
• Numbers Person: You are comfortable working with numbers and have a structured, rigorous approach to your work.
• Curious Mindset: You are curious, motivated, and not afraid to ask questions - even lots of them.
• Attention to Detail: You are organized, reliable, and pay close attention to detail.
• Digital Native: You have first experience with Excel or Google Sheets; knowledge of accounting software is a plus but not required.
• Team Player: You enjoy working with others, are willing to learn, and can contribute to a fast-paced international environment.
• Language Skills: You are comfortable working in French; English is a plus.
