Technical Sales Engineer | Industrial Sales | Antwerp

I’m currently supporting a leading professional distributor of electrical and industrial solutions with the search for an External Sales Advisor Industry covering the Antwerp region.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical electrical background who enjoys customer relationships, business development and working in an industrial environment.

We’re particularly interested in candidates based in:

Antwerp/Brussels side towards Kapellen or Ekeren

The role

You’ll be the link between the company and its industrial customers, managing and growing an existing portfolio while developing new business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining long term relationships with industrial customers
• Identifying customer needs and proposing the right technical solutions
• Prospecting and developing new commercial opportunities
• Following quotations and projects from start to finish
• Working closely with internal sales and technical specialists
• Identifying cross selling opportunities
• Supporting customer events and technical training
• Managing CRM and contributing to sales performance

What you’ll be working with

The company is a technical wholesaler and distributor rather than a manufacturer, supplying industrial customers with products from leading electrical and automation brands.

Electrical and industrial components

PLCs, sensors, relays and automation

HMIs, drives and control systems

Circuit breakers, motor protection and enclosures

Motion control and industrial automation solutions

Your background could be one of several routes:

• Technical education in electricity or electrical installation
• Hands on experience in electrical installation combined with commercial ambition
• Inside or outside sales experience within an industrial environment
• Technical sales experience with electrical, automation or industrial products

A Bachelor’s degree in electricity is preferred, but not essential. A strong technical background at secondary school level combined with relevant professional experience can also be a great fit.

• Based in or around the Antwerp region
