About the role:

The Network Operations Manager is responsible for leading and enhancing operational excellence across the store network, improving the customer experience and increasing efficiencies. This role focuses on building consistent ways of working, improving safety and inventory practices, supporting people leadership, and overseeing store development and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) activities. This is a critical leadership position that ensures the smooth execution of business-as-usual operations while driving strategic store development initiatives.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support the development of business cases and execution of new Greenfield sites, acquisitions, relocations, and mergers. This includes overseeing the setup processes, ensuring smooth transitions, and aligning new operations with corporate standards and practices.

Develop and implement a consistent 'Ways of Working' framework across the store network to establish operational stability, support growth, and streamline acquisition integrations.

Coordinate with Network and Suppliers to ensure efficient warehouse practices are followed, supplier returns are implemented, national coordination and execution of wall-to-wall stocktakes, focus on proactive management of excess and obsolete stock.

Provide comprehensive training to new store managers on system processes and operational protocols. This includes instruction on the ERP system, purchasing, inventory management, recruitment, administration, and health and safety requirements to ensure they are well equipped to manage their stores effectively.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, and take corrective actions when necessary, during the performance of daily tasks. This responsibility includes identifying areas of non-compliance, suggesting improvements, and implementing changes to maintain standards and enhance operational efficiency.

Lead people development initiatives across reporting lines and network to build strong leaders and enhance team capability

About You:

5+ years in retail / branch operations, focusing on inventory and efficiency.

Proven record of enhancing operational efficiency and customer service.

Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

High level of organisational and time management skills.
