Zambrero in Adelaide is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead daily operations, focusing on breakfast service, customer experience, and culture. You will support the Restaurant Manager, drive quality, safety, and service standards, and help manage a busy team across early shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous assistant restaurant management experience.
• Comfortable with early starts – our breakfast crew kicks things off before the sun's up.
• Barista experience or espresso machine skills are a big plus (we'll train you if new to coffee).
• Passionate about humanitarian values and ready to make a difference.
• Passionate about building a positive culture within the restaurant – exceptional customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Leading the restaurant team in efficient day to day operations including early morning breakfast and coffee service
• Assisting in managing your team, including hiring, training, rostering, and resolving any employee issues
• Ensuring food and coffee is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard
• Overseeing barista operations, including espresso machine set-up, quality control, and keeping the coffee line moving during the morning rush
• Assisting with ordering of stock from various suppliers
• Assisting with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, and reviewing policies
• Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room and general restaurant
• Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety

What You’ll Do

Our Assistant Restaurant Managers take pride in preparing and serving fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager with setting the highest standard in all areas of the restaurant including the customer experience, the workplace culture, and the financial results.
