Job summary

Zambrero SA is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager in Adelaide to help run our fast-paced, healthy Mexican restaurant. You’ll support the Restaurant Manager to maintain top customer experience, culture, and financial results.

You’ll lead breakfast and coffee service, train and roster staff, and ensure food and coffee meet the highest standards while fostering a friendly, mission-driven team environment. Join us and grow with a brand that fights hunger.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with early starts.
• Barista experience or espresso machine skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the restaurant team in efficient day to day operations, including breakfast and coffee service.
• Assisting in managing your team, including hiring, training, rostering, and resolving employee issues.
• Ensuring food and coffee are prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard.
• Overseeing barista operations, including espresso machine setup and quality control.
• Assisting with ordering of stock from suppliers.
• Assisting with office administration duties (paperwork, banking, cash handling, policies).
• Managing daily and weekly cleaning in production areas and dining room.
• Ensuring safety and workplace health and safety standards are upheld.

What you’ll do

Our Assistant Restaurant Managers take pride in preparing and serving fast, fresh, and healthy Mexican food with a smile. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager with setting the highest standard in all areas of the restaurant including the customer experience, the workplace culture, and the financial results.

• Leading the restaurant team in efficient day to day operations including early morning breakfast and coffee service


• Assisting in managing your team, including hiring, training, rostering, and resolving any employee issues


• Ensuring food and coffee is prepared, presented, and served to the highest standard


• Overseeing barista operations, including espresso machine set-up, quality control, and keeping the coffee line moving during the morning rush


• Assisting with ordering of stock from various suppliers


• Assisting with office administration duties such as paperwork, banking, cash handling, and reviewing policies


• Managing daily and weekly cleaning of the production areas, dining room and general restaurant


• Ensuring safety and security standards are recognised and upheld, and that employees are effectively trained in Workplace Health and Safety

What you’ll bring

• Barista experience or espresso machine skills are a big plus (don't worry, we'll train you up if you're keen but new to coffee)
