Job summary

The Salvation Army in Northbridge, WA, is seeking a Youth & Young Adults Secretary for a permanent part-time role (19 hours per week). You will support regional youth ministry across the region and help shape future ministry initiatives engaging the next generation.

You bring a relevant qualification in youth ministry or equivalent experience, knowledge of pastoral care, and active involvement with Salvation Army church ministries.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in youth and young adult’s ministry or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge and experience in youth and young adult’s ministry including pastoral care.
• Understanding of The Salvation Army culture.
• Active involvement in Salvation Army church ministries.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the National Youth & Young Adults strategy, building leadership capacity through coaching, training, and ministry development.
• Plan and deliver events that engage young people and frontline ministries.
• Coach, develop, and support regional youth ministry leaders and teams.
• Partner with Area Officers and local leaders to share resources and ensure consistent ministry practices.
• Stay informed on emerging trends and provide insights to strengthen ministry outcomes.
• Facilitate outcome-focused initiatives and champion safeguarding practices.
