Job summary

Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking a Youth Worker – Youth Assistant for Murrurundi. The role is permanent part-time (10 hours per week) and involves helping deliver engaging activities and supporting the Youth Centre to be welcoming and inclusive.

You'll work with our Youth Services team to engage local young people, assist with program delivery, and handle administrative tasks to keep the Centre running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate genuine interest in working with young people and building positive relationships.
• Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Respect culture and diversity and work well in a team.
• Hold a current Working with Children Check and a valid driver's licence.
• Available to work evenings and during school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct engagement with young people and delivery of programs and events.
• Administrative tasks and day-to-day Youth Centre operations support.
• Contribute as part of a supportive Youth Services team to create inclusive activities.
