Job summary

Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking a Youth Worker – Youth Assistant for a permanent part-time role in Murrurundi (10 hours per week). You will run engaging programs, help run the Youth Centre, and support young people and their families in a welcoming space.

Ideal candidates will show passion for youth work, strong communication, teamwork, and a current Working with Children Check plus a valid driver’s licence. Evening and holiday availability is expected.

• Assist with administration and day-to-day Youth Centre operations.
• Provide direct engagement with young people and supports.
• Contribute to a welcoming, safe and supportive environment.
